  • The bending problem of the plates on Winkler foundation with uncertain-but-bounded parameters was studied.Combining the element-free Galerkin method and interval mathematics and describing the uncertain parameters as interval numbers,the interval element-free Galerkin method was developed for estimating the deflection range of the plates on Winkler foundation.The feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method were illustrated by numerical examples.
