  • Soft foundation can be stabilized with DJM piles, but their mechanical mechanism is ambiguous. And because the settlement computation is too empirical, the distribution of frictional resistance and additional stress in adjacent bed should be researched in detail.By considering of frictional mechanism, the DJM pile composite foundation was analyzed from many aspects in FEM methods.Firstly, according to variation of frictional resistance during construction, the stabilizing mechanism of DJMpiles was analyzed. Then, the influence of different parameters of piles on frictional and additional stress was treated in detail.Additional topics were treated including the economical pile length and optional diameter of DJM piles. Finally, several valuable conclusions were given to give some instruction for similar engineering projects.
