Experimental Study on Thermal Conductivity of Sands

Thermal conductivity of four kinds of sands are measured by thermal needle method. effectsof porosity and degree of saturation on the therml conductivity of the sands are considered as para-meters.Empirical equation of thermal conductivity of the sands as function of porosity and degree ofsaturation is proposed.Comparison and analysis of the empirical equation with the results in some liter-ature are given.
