A Simplified Approach to Elasto-plastic Analysis of Stresses in Embankment Dams
This paper presents a simplified method for the elasto-plastic analysis of embankment dams. It is applicable for the determination of the initial total stress, pore pressure, final effective stress and displacements in any dam subjected to various loadings such as self weight, full reservoir and sudden drawdown.
