An Evaluation for Stability of Surrounding Rock of Shallow-buried Cave and Study on the Technical Measures

In this paper, based on geologic conditions and theory of rock mechanics, states of stress and deformation of surrounding rock were studied for a shallow buried cave in a city. The criterions and calculating methods of general and local stability of the ground structure were summarized. The control of structure and some problems relating to the cave stability were also discussed in this paper.
