On Damping Properties of Subgrade Soil

In order to compute the vibration response of structures and foundations correctly it is necessary to establish the damping properties of subgrade soil reasonably.In this paper the three parameter model is adopted in the analysis of damping properties.It is shown that the damping value established from three parameter model is smaller than that of two parameter model or elastic semi-infinite body theory.
