The qualitative and quantitative observation for earth anchors was performed through the model test and site measurement and the anchor mechanism is further recognized. Based on these tests and analysis the theoretical formulae for the carrying capacity and displacement of anchor is proposed. This formulae conforms with the measurements of obsevation and it is useful in practice.
