Some Aspects of Sand-Drained Ground

The paper presents, with a typical case record as an illustration, several calculation methods relevant to sand-drained ground, particularly those for back calculation from measurement data. The vane test results of the ground of the case at six successive times since 1970 to 1980 are given. A method for prediction of the strength gain is proposed and its application to stability analysis described.
