A New Formula of Rock Resistant Factor “k” in Hydraulic Pressure Tunnel

This paper briefly reviews the computative theory of various formulas of rock resistant factor "K" and it's mechanical model. On that basis, a common mechanical model is suggested. Then a new formula is derived on the basis of elastic and plastic theory. This paper points out various formulas of rock resistant factor are special cases of this formula. And therefore this formula is of universal significance.
