Application of circular truss internal bracing in excavations engineering

The circular truss internal bracing system is adopted for excavations in soft clay. A 2D numerical model is introduced to analyze the problem. The results of the numerical analysis are compared with the measurements. The measurements indicate that the circular truss internal bracing system can control the deformation well and reduce the infuence on the surrounding environment. Its construction is easy, and the cost is low.
