The seismic ground response of Taipei basin

Some seismic ground response records were used to testify the Lee curve recommended by the related paper. The conclusion is that the acceleration responses of ground surface in different locations of Taipei basin will be different up to 2.9 times, based upon the seismic acceleration of 0.23g designated by the new construction code. It is therefore recommended necessarily to investigate the seismic microzonation map of Taipei basin for the city plan of seismic disaster mitigation and seismic resistant structure design.
