Study on the pressure-relieving groove for handling shaftwall break

The mechanism of pressure-relieving groodves for handling shaftwall break is analysed.The method for design of the grove height is offered.According to the measured stress and deformation in the grooves in Lin Huan Coal Areas, the effects of pressure-relieving of different groves are analysed.By the theoretical analysis and measurement,it is proved that pressure-relieving groove is effective on handling broken shaftwall.
