Some ideas of design of diaphragm wall for deep foundation pits

Two kinds of new design ways for deep foundation pits are introduced, that is, “suspension wall + sinking of lateral water curtain”and “sinking of diaphragm wall + reinforcement of supporting section and unreinforcement of structural section”. A comparative analysis for design of supporting structures for the traditional deep foundation pits is performed from the aspects of quality, safety, time limit and cost. The advantages of the proposed new design ways are highlighted, and they will have a certain impact on the traditional design method.
