Abstract
The bedrock in Houhai area of Shenzhen is granite. The granite weathering affected by the geological structure is very uneven, so the depth and thickness of weathered layers have large differences and may bring great troubles to the selection and construction of piles. Especially for end-support friction piles with strong weathering for bearing course at piles, the characteristic values of vertical compressive bearing capacity tests on single pile are quite different. Based on the 2 foundation pile project instances, the results of static load tests on vertical bearing capacity of 22 piles are analyzed in order to find out the characteristics of the vertical bearing capacity of single pile. It may provide the reference for the design and construction of other foundation piles.
