  • According to the reinforcing mechanism and the earth tensile crack,the location and shape of cracking surface behind the reinfored earth retaining wall are reasonably assumed.Starting from the integral strength charac-teristic of reinforced earth,this paper prasent:a formula of critical reinforcing ratio for the tensile failure of rein-forced earth retaining wall.The results of theoretical analysis and model test are in good correspondence with eachother.
