Abstract

Field measurements and analysis of earth pressure on anchor slab retaining structures weremade for a number of years.It was concluded that the earth pressure is greater than the value fromCoulomb’s equation,Proposed equation of earth pressure in anchor slab retaining structure and earthpressure distribution along the height of the wall are presented.Concept of the enlarged factor is intro-duced in the equation of earth pressure.
