Abstract
Results of research on deep excavation with diaphragm wall as retaining wail in soft clay is presented, which include mechanism of ground displacement around pit, prediction of ground settlement and lateral movement of wall relationship between ground settlement and stability, estimation of axial forces in struts and relevant construction methods which can improve the loading condition and deformation of excavation. The results can be used as reference for the analysis of deep exacavation in soft clay.
