Abstract
Underground Substation at Shanghai Remin Square was used as example, the optimization method applied to groundwater drawdown project for deep excavation (DGWE) is studied. By principle and practice of system analysis the optimization problems and mathematical model of DGWE are advanced, and the solution technique is discussed. By method of optimization, the prime cost of DGWE can be reduced to minimum on the premises of excavation construction safety and surrounding safety.
