  • This paper proposes aa approach for calculating the failure probability of rock slopes with multiple slip surfaces or with multiple wedges. The failure of slopes, based on the random sampling of vectors with a jointly n-dimensioaal normal distribution, is simulated with the Monte-Carlo technique. Moreover, the effects of the number of slip surfaces or wedges as well as the correlation between, the random parameters of slip surfaces on the failure probability of the slopes are also discussed.
