Research on Laboratory Triaxial Test for Rock Hydrofracture

This paper presents the principle and method of a laboratory triaxial test for rock hydrofracture. The tests were performed on dry and saturated specimens of granite of Xinfengjing reservoir region. The characteristics of hydrofracture strength and deformation, and the fracture model are gained on the condition of triaxial compression. Moreover, a Preliminary probe is made of the mechanism of earthquakes induced by reservoirs.
