  • In this paper,nonlinear stress-strain analysis for a high earth-rockf ill dam and its foundation cutoff is given. According to the calculated results, the problems, such as residual deformations and percentage of strength mobilized in the dam, hydraulic fracturing in the core and the mechanical interaction of cutoff-dam-foundation system, were discussed.
