Development of model test system for dynamic frozen soil-pile interaction

  • The pile foundation is the main foundation form for large-scale structures in frozen zones, but there are little researches on its dynamic characters in frozen soils. By comparing and analyzing the current researches in this field, a set of model test system for dynamic frozen soil-pile interaction is developed. It mainly includes determination of performance parameters, design of dynamic loading system, design of model test chamber, analysis of refrigeration effect, design of loading frame and connection with experimental chamber. The test results show that the test system can supply frozen soil environment for experiments, and simulate and analyze the dynamic behaviors of frozen soil-pile preferably. Moreover, the system can be used in other researches on frozen soils.
