Abstract

Composite pile foundation with long and short piles is a new kind of pile foundation.It is necessary to study the bearing mechanics and working behavior.In this paper,the relation between bearing capacity and settlement & distribution of the axial force and skin friction along pile and the bearing mechanics of composite pile foundation with long and short piles were studied based on laboratory tests.The conclusions were valuable for engineering practice.
