The ground deformation computing problem of goafs of highways is one of the difficult problems in highway construction,and until now there is no perfect computation methods to settle with.In order to solve ground deformation of goafs,a ground deformation computation model based on the stochastic medium theory was presented and the computation programs(GSM & POBA) were also developed.The computation model had 5 parameters,which could be identified by displacement inverse algorithm(program POBA).At the same time,the ground deformation limits of highways to determine the engineering treatment scope of goafs were provided.On such a basis,the problem could be solved.Finally,a case of Lei– Yi highway was given.The computed results showed that the present method could successfully solve the ground deformation problems of goafs.
