The geotechnical finite numerical analysis software Plaxis 8.2 was used to simulate the behavior of piles influenced by the soil movements from a nearby surface loads.Piles were represented by equivalent sheet-pile walls.The soil-pile interaction effects of surcharge loads,pile conditions and soil layer conditions were studied.
