Model of geosynthetics reinforced pavements based on membrane effect

  • Membrane effect is one of the basic functions for geosynthetics reinforced pavements.This paper established the membrane equation on the assumption that the deformation of membrane is small.Coupling with the elastic multilayer foundation,a model of reinforced pavements was proposed.Finally,taking two layer reinforce pavements for example,the stress and strain expression under axisymmetric and nonaxisymmetric load were given.
