Study on the macro-shear strength of filled materials in earth-rock dams

  • Based on the theory of random fields and Percolation theory, theoretical formulas for determination of upper and lower limit of the macro-shear strength of filled materials in earth-rock dams is deduced. By using these formulas the shear strength can be determined by the experimental result of small specimens.
