  • Based on the geometric implication of the reliability index and genetic algorithm, a globe optimal algorithm is put forward to calculate the reliability index and the text point. It simulates genetic evolutionary process of organisms and avoids local minimum value. By this method, reliability of the nonlinear and complex performance function of geotechnical engineering can be got without derivation. Engineering examples show that this method is reliable and accurate.
