  • High strength structural bolt in permanent shiplock at the Three Gorges Project will work under periodic load caused by water pressure and temperature stress during the operation . The field test results of bolt stress and deformation under cyclic tensile load are presented in this paper. And it is pointed out that the bolt stress will transfer to depth, but the deformation keeps constant under the cyclic tensile load.
