  • Based upon data on the landslides and avalanches of natural slopes caused by earthquakes during the last 800 years, characteristics of landslides and avalanches and relationships between landslides and seismic parameters were investigated. By statistically analyzing 285 typical landslides and avalanches produced by a total of 125 earthquakes, criteria for earthquake induced landslide and avalanche were proposed.
