Application of genetic evolutionary algorithm for slope stability analysis

  • According to the stability analysis of slopes, a method based on the assumption of circular slip surface is put forward in this paper.The method uses genetic evolutionary algorithm to determinate the most dangerous slip surface and the correspending minimum safety factor.It simulates genetic evolutionary process of organisms and avoids local minimum value. It is a global optimal algorithm,so it has obvious advantages compared with classical methods.
