Static pore water pressure and excess pore water pressure— A discussion with Mr. CHEN Yu-jiong

摘要: 土中的孔隙水压力是土力学的基本概念,也是饱和土体有效应力原理和渗流固结理论的基础。本文认为静止的地下水中和稳定渗流场中土中孔隙水压力均属于静孔隙水压力,而超静孔隙水压力是由于外部作用或者边界条件变化在土体中引起的,不同于静孔隙水压力的那部分孔隙水压力,在有排水条件下,它将逐渐消散,并在消散过程中伴随土体的体积变化。文中也针对一些例子进行了讨论。

Abstract: The pore water pressure is the basic concept in soil mechanics. It is also the foundation of the principle of effective stress and the consolidation theory of saturated soils. In this paper, the pore water pressure in soils in static groundwater and in steady seepage field is defined as the static pore water pressure. The excess pore water pressure is induced by external action including loading and change of boundary condition in soils, and the change of the excess pore water pressure is always accompanied with that of soil volume. Some examples are also discussed. -
